About Us

Michael, William and Deanna are all students at the FAMU/FSU College of Engineering and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. They are the only members of Senior Design Group 9; a group dedicated to designing and fabricating a working Gunnery Control Simulation handle for Lockheed Martin.

Michael Brown

Michael is Webmaster, group liason and head of body configuration for the Gunnery Handle Project. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Materials Science. He is a senior and plans to graduate April, 2011, and after receiving his B.S., Michael plans to go to graduate school in pursuit of a PhD in Materials Science. William Thornton

William is head of handle configuration for the M2 Bradley simulation and is also in charge of the electronics of the Gunnery Handle Project. He is currently a Senior Mechanical Engineering student. He plans to finish his B.S. in the spring 2011, and will work on finishing an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering April of 2011, and then he will move into the industry sector. Deanna McKenzie

Deanna is head of handle configuration for the M1 Abrams simulation and dynamics specialist for the Gunnery Handle project. She is a senior currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Dynamics and Controls and plans to graduate in April of 2011.
