FOR EVERYONE

September 28 – College Town Hall with Diversity & Inclusion Campus Climate Survey Results (F2F/Zoom, AME 106, 5 pm) – open to all students, faculty and staff. We will present the findings of our D&I Campus Climate Survey from Fall 2020 and the comparison of our climate against other institutions nationwide. Live Q&A and a chance to talk about diversity, equity and inclusion on our campus and beyond. More info here

October 1 – LatinX Affinity Group Lunch (FSU Golf Club, 12:00 pm) Open to all faculty and staff that identify as Hispanic/LatinX and work at the college. Join us for a Dutch Treat (everyone buys own lunch) at the golf club grille across the street from our campus. (Note: the grille is a cashless facility so bring your credit card to purchase your table service meal.) October 22 – Green & Gold Tailgate (outside B building, 4:00 – 6:30 pm, catered by 4Rivers BBQ with live performances from both FAMU and FSU special programs) Bring the kids and your friends to this annual celebration of the green and gold traditions of FAMU and FSU. Music, lawn games, giveaways and more for all engineering students, faculty, staff and alumni. Wear your school colors and join us on the lawn.

October 29 - Metathinking: Secret Superpowers of an ADHD Brain (F2F, Location TBD, 1:00 – 2:00 pm) Dr. Scott Thourson, faculty member in chemical & biomedical engineering, shares the metathinking skills he learned as an adolescent with ADHD that can help anyone—neurodiverse or neurotypical—succeed and actually learn the first time from inevitable mistakes.
