N.31 Ex­is­tence of mag­netic monopoles

Ac­tu­ally, var­i­ous ad­vanced quan­tum the­o­ries re­ally re­quire the ex­is­tence of mag­netic monopoles. But hav­ing never been ob­served ex­per­i­men­tally with con­fi­dence de­spite the big the­o­ret­i­cal mo­ti­va­tion for the search, they are clearly not a sig­nif­i­cant fac­tor in real life. Clas­si­cal elec­tro­mag­ne­to­dy­nam­ics as­sumes that they do not ex­ist at all.
