Assembly

Step 1: Center Shaft to Base

step1

Directions: Connect Part B to Part A at the indicated arrow Use a single screw (Part J) and screwdriver (Part 3) to secure the center shaft (Part B) to the base (Part A) via the tapped hole on the top of the base structure

Step 2: Lubrication

step2

Directions: Apply Part 2 to Part B Carefully use the paint brush (Part 4) to apply a thin glossy layer of the graphite lubricant (Part 2) to the center shaft (Part B) which is now firmly attached to the base structure(Part A).

Step 3: Bearing Insertion

step3

Directions: Insert Part D to Part B With care take the thrust bearing (Part D) and slide it onto the center shaft (Part B) which is now firmly attached to the base structure (Part A)

Step 4: Permanent Magnet Insertion

step4

Directions: Insert Part E to Part B With extreme care take the permanent magnet (Part E) and slide it onto the center shaft (Part B) which is now firmly attached to the base structure (Part A) so that it sits securely on top of the thrust bearing.

Step 5: Brass Weight Insertion

step5

Directions: Insert Part F to Part B With extreme care take the brass weight (Part F) and slide it onto the center shaft (Part B) which is now firmly attached to the base structure (Part A) so that it sits securely atop the permanent magnet. Caution: The permanent magnet is very brittle so set the brass weight down as gently as possible.

Step 6: Top to Base

step6

Directions: Attach Part C to Part A at the indicated arrows Use 4 screws (Part J) and the screwdriver (Part 3) to secure the center shaft (Part B) to the base (Part A) via the tapped hole on the top of the base structure

Step 7: Placement of Electro-Magnet

step7

Directions: Insert Part G to Part A at location indicated by the arrow Carefully insert the electro-magnet (Part G) to the enclosure of the base structure (Part A) at the enclosures center.

Step 8: Attaching Door to Base

step8

Directions: Attach Part H to Part A at the indicated arrows Use 4 screws (Part J), the hinges (Part I) and the screwdriver (Part 3) to secure the door (Part H) to the hinges (Part I); and the hinges (Part I) to the base (Part A) via the tapped holes on both the base door (Part H) and the base structure (Part A). Basic Operation After the model has been carefully assembled its now ready for operation. First insert the plug from the power source into the electro-magnet. Next turn the power up on the power source until the weight is levitated to the preferred distance. To return the actuator backs to its initial position turn the power source down. Repeat the process as many times desired. (Note: Remember to turn the power source off after each use for safety)
