SAE III - Formula Suspension Design
The purpose of the SAE III Suspension project is the design and implementation of a new suspension system for the new carbon fiber monocoque SAE Formula racecar. The front suspension will have to be completely redesigned to attach to a carbon fiber monocoque body instead of a traditional cro-moly tube frame. Our advisor, Dr. Patrick Hollis has requested that front and rear sway bars be incorporated into our final design package. The suspension system will be designed for maximum driver comfort, and maximum performance.
