Spray Jets

The spray jets in our aquaculture system serve two crucial functions; they aerate and 'stir' the water in the main tank at the same time.  The jets are very simply constructed of 3/4" PVC piping with a line of 1/8" holes drilled in them.  They are fed water from pump A, which draws water directly out of the drains in the main tank.
Half of the jets are on one side of the tank pointing to the right, and the other half are on the opposite side, pointing to the left.  There is a vertical divider in the tank, so the water is forced to travel in laps around the tank's perimeter.  This creates a whirlpool effect that draws the waste to the drains in the center of the tank.
